How to make spray fragrance from perfume or essential oil

There are two simple methods to make a spray perfume out of our fragrances or essential oil.

One method is to simply add about 1 part of fragrance or essential oil to 10 parts of water. The fragrance will not dissolve completely because oil and water do not mix. But, when you shake the oil and water mixture it will turn into a milky mixture. This mixture can then be poured into a refillable perfume atomizer and then sprayed as a normal spray. You can also mix the fragrance and water directly in the perfume atomizer bottle. Please shake the bottle before using each time because the perfume and water may have separated. You can find a range of attractive refillable perfume atomizers at our website for bottles, http://www.bestbottles.com/

The second method is for fragrances that are thick and may not mix at all with water. They may settle to the bottom, these will not spray out easily in a water mixture. For these type of fragrances or essential oils an alcohol water mixture is necessary to dissolve the fragrance or essential oil so that it can be sprayed out. First you need to make an alcohol base. To make an alcohol base you need a relatively pure alcohol and water. You can use an 80 proof alcohol (such as everclear). Add about 2 parts of water to 8 parts of the alcohol to make an alcohol base. To make the spray perfume, add about 1 part of fragrance or essential oil to 10 parts of the alcohol base. Shake the mixture vigorously to dissolve the fragrance or essential oil into the alcohol base. Pour the alcohol base into the perfume atomizer bottle and use as a perfume spray. The second method may also be used for all types of fragrances or essential oils. The fragrance and essential oil will dissolve in the alcohol allowing the fragrance to be sprayed out.
